Howdy Pard!!
Who could ever forget James West, as the ole west Secret Service agent, in the t.v. series, Wild Wild West???? Teamed with Ross Martin, it became a popular series, based on the exploits of these 2 fellas, in sort of a 19th century 007. Conrad later did commercials for a battery company, with the ole cliche, go ahead, knock the battery off my shoulder and then took on the role of a rescue ranger in the Rocky Mountains.
Raymond .St Jacques was an excellent supporting actor during the 60' and 70's. I've watched him play good guys and bad guys with equal talent. Like William Marshall and Moses Gunn, Jacques had a great voice.
I will always remember Joan Hackett for her roles in Will Penny, with Charleton Heston and Support Your Local Sheriff with James Garner. She was famous for always taking an afternoon nap. She left us far too young. A little trivia about her, on her tombstone, it reads, " Go Away, I'm Sleeping"!!
What more can be said about Ron Howard?? He became famous as l'il Opie on the Andy Griffith show back in the late 50's and 60's and then took on the role of Tom Bosley's son in the 70's hit Happy Days. He appeared in The Spikes Gang with Lee Marvin and eventually went behind the camera and became one of the best directors in Hollywood, with hits like Cocoon I & Cocoon II and many others. Both he and his brother Clint Howard are 2nd generation actors. Clint also had a hit t.v. series back in the late 60's or 70's called Gentle Ben, as I recollect.
