Fred De Cordova (1910-2001) was a director at Universal in the late '40s and 1950s, directing B movies like Bedtime for Bonzo, The Girl Who Took the West, and Column South, as well as several TV shows. He was a producer on The Jack Benny Program, The Smothers Brothers Show, and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson from 1970-1992, also serving as executive producer. He won 5 Emmy awards for his work on the Tonight Show.
