| Hi, Funnily enough I watched Terence Hill in TRIGGERMAN, a DOC WEST movie, earlier today. A very enjoyable Western, the second in the series. Many Happy Returns to Terence and I hope he makes a few more DOC WEST's. There is one more that I know of. DOC WEST'S CONSCIENCE PART 1. That'll be the third so I hope there's a part 2. Perhaps somebody on the Forum has a little more information. Bronc. | |

| Howdy Pards!!
Authur O'Connell was originally a vaudevillian actor. He broke into film with Orson Wells help. He appeared in at least 2 Elvis Pressley films, Follow That Dream and Kissin Cousins. He also appeared in the original Poseidon Adventure, The Great Race ( in which he played the newspaper editor beset with Natalie Wood) Anatomy Of A Murder and There Was A Crooked Man. He always played the kindly father or grandfather. He had that role down pat!!
Terrance Hill has appeared in what seems to be innumerable and a seemingly endless collection of spaghetti westerns. The most famous are, They Call Me Trinity, My Name Is Still Trinity and the film he did with Henry Fonda, My Name Is Nobody. As you might guess, I am not a great fan of Hill or his films or his acting abilities. Be that as it may, he has certainly had a successful career in Europe.

| There were only 2 Doc Wests made. Doc West and Triggerman. I have both on DVD but haven't watched Triggerman yet. These were to be pilots for a TV series but Hill couldn't get the budget he wanted or needed to make future episodes. Hill is 73 today and made the two Doc West's in Santa Fe in 2008 when he was 69 so I don't think he'll be climbing back into the saddle anymore. My information came from Neil Summers who was the stunt coordinator and had a cameo role in both. | |

| Arthur O'Connell was also in one of my favorite westerns....Man of the West, with Gary Cooper, Julie London, Lee J. Cobb, John Dehner, Royal Dano, Bob Wilke & Jack Lord. Directed by Anthony Mann. O'Connell was a good character actor, the type they don't have many of these days. Tom. | |
