Howdy Manco!!
Bruce Bennett was a silver medalist in the 1928 Olympics for the shot put. He was given a screen test for the original Tarzan Role, but broke his shoulder filming a football movie and Johnny Weissmuller got the part and became a huge star. Bennett appeared in several good films, like Treasure Of The Sierra Madre with Humphrey Bogart and Mildred Pierce with Joan Crawford and Dark Passage, He lived to the ripe old age of 100 years.
David McLean appeared a couple of times on Laramie and on The Virginian and Bonanza. He had a short lived series in the late 50's( as I recall) titled Tate, about a one armed gunslinger, which took place shortly after the Civil War. He will probably be best remembered as the original Marlboro man in R.J. Reynolds cigarrette ads. As I recall, after he died of Lung cancer, his wife sued R.J. Reynolds. She said that he was sometimes forced to smoke up to a 100 cigarrettes while filming a commercial, because they always wanted him to be seen lighting a fresh cigarrette. As I recall, she won!!!!!
David Hartman had at least 4 t.v. series during his acting career. The Bold Ones, The New Doctors and as a teacher on Lucas Tanner. He was also the host of Good Morning America for several years, but I remember him best for the role he played on the t.v. series, The Virginian.
