Actor J.Pat.O'Malley actually started his career as a singer back in the 30's, and he must have been quite good, since he recorded over 400 songs of the day under the name Pat O'Malley. He appeared in Disney's Lassie Come Home and 101 Dalmations, along with doing the voices in TwiddleDee And TwiddleDum. He also guest starred in many of the 50's, 60's and 70's t.v. series. A solid supporting actor and especially good in westerns.

After serving in the Marines, Macdonald Carey appeared in Wake Island and in several westerns, such as Copper Canyon, The Lawless, The Great Missouri Raid, before taking on the role that he would be best remembered for. That of .Dr Tom Horton on N.B.C'S daytime soap opera, Days Of Our Lives. He appeared in this role for over 30 years!!

Lawrence Tierney was the brother of actor Scott Brady, who you will remember from the t.v. series, Shotgun Slade. Lawrence played the part of John Dillinger in the 1940's film of the same name. The role made him a star and typecast him for the rest of his life. He appeared in Born To Kill, and as the father of Bruce Willis in Armageddon, as the baseball bat wielding bartender in Silver Bullet and as the mob kingpin in Resevoir Dogs.. His career went into decline because of his many skirmishes with law enforcement officials but he revived it with appearances on t.v. shows, such as Seinfeld and Hill St Blues. He sure knew to play bad to the bone villains.

Lawrence Tierney also played Jesse James in Randolph Scott's "Badman's Territory" and again played Jesse in Robert Ryan's "Best of the Badmen."
Macdonald Carey was in one of the first movies I ever saw at the movies when I was very young called "Streets of Laredo", and it remains one of my favorite films. Think the first three movies I saw that I can remember as a young 'un at the drive-in theater were Streets of Laredo, Red River & Whispering Smith. When my friend Robert Brubaker was working in the soap opera Days of Our Lives he invited me to attend a filming and then rehearsal for the next episode and he introduced me to Carey, who was a nice guy. Also met Tierney once and no matter what they say about his reputation as being a tough guy on and off screen, I have to say I found him very cordial and pleasant to talk with. Also enjoyed watching the performances of J. Pat O'Malley & George Brent.
