| Apparently, Rex Lease was a B movie actor who I'm not too familiar with.
Leslie Nielsen was a terrific actor, who I'd seen in so many TV episodes from MASH to Columbo. Of course, he played serious characters before becoming a comedic actor with Airplane, Police Squad and the Naked Gun films. The first time I saw him do comedy was in the MASH episode 'The Ringbanger', in which he played a colonel whose regiment was sustaining a high casualty rate, so Hawkeye and Trapper made him think he was nuts so they could him relieved from command.
What can you say about Burt Reynolds. He made some good movies, he made some stinkers, but he's a good actor.
D'Urville Martin I'm not too familiar with. looks like he did a lot of Blaxploitation movies. | |

| Howdy Pards!!
I've watched Leslie Nielsen's career from 1956 with his role in Forbidden Planet, through his westerns like The Sheepman and all his roles on many of the t.v. series, through the resurrection of his career with his comedic talents in the Police Squad films, Dead And Loving it, etc, including the .Mr Magoo films. An excellent dramatic actor and comedian. A little bit of trivia about ole Leslie!! His tombstone reads"Let Her Rip"!!
Burt Reynolds was told in an interview along with Clint Eastwood, that Reynolds was too short and Eastwood needed to get his chipped tooth fixed and they shouldn't plan on giving up their day jobs!! I remember an interview with Reynolds, about the 1st time he was offered a million dollars for a film. He said he was hyperventilating and fell on the floor. Later that night, he received a phone call and when he answered the phone, a voice told him to "cool it, Clyde". It was Eastwood, who had heard about the episode!!
